ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (receive the gift of salvation) {Romans 10:9}
How Do I Surrender My Life to Jesus Christ? The greatest gift a man, woman, youth or child can receive is God’s gift of Salvation. This gift is about establishing a relationship with God’s Son Jesus Christ. The relationship is like no other you will encounter, it provides everlasting and supernatural peace, comfort, joy, hope and love. When you leave this earth, you will spend your life in one of two places, heaven or hell. Accepting God’s gift of salvation assures you eternal life in heaven. God has no respect of person, it does matter whether you are rich, poor, skin color, prostitute, murderer, cheater or liar, He want all people to come to the loving grace of His salvation. God is so concerned with salvation, the bible states “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” { John 3:16}. This kind of love can only be administered by the God that created and sustains the heavens, the universe and mankind. You may be thinking "I’ve sinned too much, God will never forgive me". Nothing can be farther from the truth! God know that you live in a sinful world and will be tempted, and to something you will succumb, that’s why He said in “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” [ Romans 3:23}. Nobody should let the sin (s) in their life keep them from God’s gift of salvation. There is no sin too big for God to forgive, all you need to do is repent (turn away from your sins), believe that Jesus is the Son of God and ask God’s forgiveness. Perhaps you are wondering how do I go about receiving God’s gift of salvation? The bible said “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved “ {Romans 10:9-10} For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” Jew and Gentile (Gentile: anyone that not a Jew) are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” {Romans 10:11-13}
PRAYER FOR SALVATION: “Father God in heaven, I have sinned against you. I come to you today asking for your forgiveness. I believe you are the creator of heaven and the universe. You are the provider and sustainer of all things. I believe Jesus Christ is your son who died, was buried and raised from the dead for the redemption of my sins. I believe He is alive today and seated at your right hand in heaven. Today I surrender my life to your Son, Jesus Christ and will follow Him all the days of my life.” Amen.
